Cathy Poliak

Cathy Poliak is passionate about helping business leaders successfully navigate human resources challenges and develop winning organizations.  Cathy has an extensive history of working as a strategic partner to management, to define and implement organizational strategies to meet business objectives. Her background of 20+ years in HR management includes several years as a vice president of HR of a public corporation and consulting experience spanning a range of industries, including wineries, manufacturing, health care  and non-profit agencies. Cathy’s career also includes experience in accounting and finance, which combined with her detailed knowledge of the various aspects of Human Resources, allow her to address issues of organization effectiveness with a direct impact on strategic business goals. As a part-time lecturer at Sonoma State University, Cathy taught HR management and Labor Relations classes in the School of Business and Economics, and was an instructor in the HR Management Certificate Program.
Cathy holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a B.S., Anthropology from the University of Oregon. She has also earned national certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Cathy lived and worked in Silicon Valley for over 20 years before moving to the Napa Valley and starting her consulting business.
An avid cyclist, Cathy has logged thousands of miles cycling through the Napa Valley and Italy.
